An angel drawing can be defined as a psychedelic picture when the drawn image constitutes a change in consciousness and in spiritual life. Such a psychedelic art drawing becomes a prophesy when it purports a prediction.
Aster's painted prophesy! (1979)
This painting may stand for a fine example of psychedelic art. It shows an awkward burial scene and its content, a view of a road that leads into the afterlife, a place of survey, a place between heaven and hell. When you look to the left bottom of the psychedelic picture, (an enlargement is shown hereunder to show you detail) you'll discover a freshly dug grave with a coffin placed on top of it, resting on wooden support beams, as if awaiting the time of the burial. The grave itself is placed outside the cemetary walls.

I created this psychic art painting in 1979, at the end of a two year internal battle with something that I first understood as an alien obsessor that housed within me. 4 years later, in 1983, my brother Bob was murdered in Israel; the circumstances of his death and his non religious background prevented his remains to be admitted to sacred ground. There was no other option as to bury him outside the limits of the cemetary.
How Aster's prophesy painting developed into automatic drawingWhen I am asked to talk about the psychic and prophetic aspects of this experience, my story quickly takes off to a place beyond the limitations of time and space.Is there a difference between an inner force, an alien obsessor and an Angel ? When I was 18 years old I started dealing with this very disturbing inner force that had made its presence known a year earlier. It was as if I was suddenly living with another personality inside my body. That personality seemed to have a mind of its own, was extremely focussed and goal oriented. Two minds in one body and I could talk back and forth with it!
Changed consciousness by an Angel of Death!It was pretty crowded! The other personality suggested no visual representation to my mind, it had no sound or voice; I remember it was mere knowledge and willpower, very agressive, very determined and very obsessively present. Described at that time as an inner voice and understood as an alien obsessor, I now understand it as a Death Angel, an angel proclaiming death, an inner voice devoid of sound prophesysing death, and originating from beyond the borders of life and death.An alien force: paranormal ?Ignorence caused my reaction to the death angel to be pretty cool. As it did not really control me, I accepted it, decided to study it, give it room, make space for it to get its message across and express itself. Psychic art was hatching. But I did understand it as a paranormal force, as it felt alien and external, a power embodied by mere knowledge and will.Angel drawing, don't allow your own thoughts to cross the process!I could not explain that inner force, yet I understood its objectives very clearly. When succesful, I'd be temporarily relieved from its constant presence by means of a successful artistic expression. What exactly constituted such successful artistic expression was always unclear. But regarding the creation of psychic art I was ignorent and semi conscious about what was happening. I was a baby in an adult suit, and babies are not expected to fully understand the process of birth.I didn't realise that my own thoughts and sense of control were in the way. Allthough I felt inspired to seek form, style and colour, these things were absolutely of no relevance. Yet, when I held my pen silently on the paper without moving, nothing happened. I was in between realities. My interacting with the spiritual was spontaneous and not grown into adulthood, however I had passed the infant stage. And I gained a great sense of inner peace as soon as I had released all my senses of control, and thoughts and emotions could transform into an artistic manifest that had somehow pleased the alien obsessor. When that happened, I was temporarily free. Working with an obscure inner force, an alien obsessor, an Angel.
Specialists that I consulted were not able to find any pathology but were also not able to find any explanation for the obscure inner force I described. It was as if I had been working with an unseen master of creation, a messenger whose complementing energies were always phsyically perceptible and, as I realised only much later, had been very much misunderstood. At age 22, in 1979, this ongoing inner struggle came to a conclusion with the creating of the prophesy painting. Psychic art had manifested. I consider the creation of that painting the result of a supernatural experience and an awakening superability; it was the psychic art prophesy of the tragic death of my brother in 1983 that triggered the manifestation of automatic writing and Angel drawing with me from then onwards.
