Angel Art Exhibitions

2007 Aster art exhibition and lecture at the Shanghai Art Academy.

I am very happy to announce the exhibition of my art at the Shanghai Academy of Art in 2007. The exhibition will show 50 of my ideomotoric works, created between 1994 and 2002. Simultaniously, dr. Vladimir Sivitskt D.Sc. of the State University of Minsk, Belarus and I will present a lecture for students, teachers and staff of the academy about the phenomenon of ideomotorics and its artform, automatisc writing and drawing. I also hope to introduce ideomotor work of members of the TIA group and famous artists like André Masson and others. More info will follow.

Next: Exhibition at 't Stadskoffyhuis with Chinese artist Wang Qi, Delft 2007.

Wang Qi and I have joined forces. Wang Qi exhibits for me in China and I exhibit for her in the Netherlands. In april 2007 we exhibit together in the city of Delft at the famous coffeebar and restaurant 't Stads Koffyhuis

April - May 2006: Exhibition with Wang Qi, Shanghai, China.

Unfortunately I have no impression to show here, because during my stay in Shanghai, my camera was stolen.

The Brighton Experience, summer 2005

Some of my work was shown at the exhibition of my great friend and fellow artist Nicholas Socrates, which on june 11, 2005, an exhibition called 'A lotus in flower'. The exhibition was all day and took place at The Dharma (Buddhist) School, Patcham, Brighton.

Shortly after that, Nick exhibited our work for a week at the 'Art Breathe Meditation', Media centre, Ship Street, Brighton.

In fact what happened here was a first coëxhibition of 2 members of the TIA group. I intend to organize TIA art showings in the near future, and put TIA-art or Angel Drawing on the map; hopefully many of us will gather at the Outsider Art Festival, Amsterdam 2006, that I am organising.

The London Raw Art Festival, spring 2005

The London Raw Arts Festival exhibition was an absolutely great experience and a big success. The 2005 festival exhibited 80 artists from 12 different countries. The majority of artists exhibiting at the festival have not received any kind of art education. Whilst a few have, the feature that all artists have in common is that they have found their own style and are thus 'self-taught'.

visit the Raw Arts Festival 2005

I loved being part of the Raw Arts Festival 2005. Have a look at what happened there! The fact that many quality artists exhibited their work and were personally present throughout the show resulted in the creation of a great party atmosphere on the private viewing, energetic lifts throughout the week and a good feeling during the closing day. The festival gave me the opportunity to show my work to an english speaking audience and discuss the specifics and depths of it with other exhibiting artists. The most inspiring artist I met was Joel Crespin from France. I hope to work with him in his Atelier close to Paris sometime and create some work together. Crespin was accompanied by his friends and collegues Loren and Chenu and the famous French painter Anto. We went out together one night and painted a manifest on the tablecloth of an Indian Restaurant using ketchup, sauces and wine! The Raw art Festival was since held in Valencia (2006) and will be held in New York in 2007.
